What is 'body language?'
I didn't always love my body.
In fact, I used to loathe parts of my body, and would pretend that parts of me didn't exist.
This was before I began practicing embodiment. I had a wonderful sense of fake-self-confidence, and at the time, it seemed to work. But then one day I looked at myself in the mirror after a shower and realized that I didn't recognize what I saw. I realized that I had lived two decades within this body and hadn't taken the time to get to know myself, intimately.
So I made a change.
I decided to spend one hour each day getting to know my body. I breathed with my body, touched my body, moved my body, sounded my body, shook my body, stretched my body, played with my body, in ways that felt genuinely inspiring, alive and authentic during the practice. No planning, just listening. I did this practice every day for six months, and something amazing happened.
I started falling in love with myself.
The parts of my body that were previously unrecognizable to me were suddenly mine, and beautiful. At last I could hear my body speaking to me. And it wasn't because my body hadn't been speaking up before, it was that now I was giving it the space to be heard.
The six months of this embodiment practice was the initial groundwork for the relationship I currently have with my body. A relationship that is rich with understanding, communication, passion, beauty, playfulness, power, love, and it is still growing.
This is what I want to share with you. This is what I want to share with the world.

'Body Language' is a four week online course and self care journey. It has been thoughtfully and heartfully crafted to guide each participant towards a relationship with their body that is full of love, acceptance, understanding, nourishment, and possibility.
There are only 8 spaces available total for this course.
This is to ensure that each of you gets my full attention each week.
This will also create a powerful container of intimacy, connection, familiarity and focused learning.
This round of the course is open to women and ages 18+.
This course includes one group Zoom call per week, and one 1:1 coaching call per week. Every other day of the course is done online with the guidance of pre-recorded videos and self-reflection prompts. By the end of the four weeks, you will have developed a thorough understanding of your unique body language, a variety of somatic self care tools, and how to craft your own daily practice that deepens and enhances your connection with your body.

LISTEN focuses on expanding what you know about touch as a sense and as a tool for connection and learning. During this first week, you will be listening intently to different areas of your body, and learning how these different areas communicate desires, wants and needs. This week is all about sensation, and discovering the way your body communicates pleasure/pain, yes/no, opening/closing, curiosity/fear, etc. through your senses. This is a crucial first step towards deepening your relationship with your body, because intentional listening creates the potential for a shared language, and an opportunity to build deep trust through communication and acknowledgement.
MOVE is all about—you guessed it--movement. This week we bring in movement as a method of understanding the body through waves of change. The body is always in motion—the heart is beating, the organs are working, the breath is flowing. Movement is a natural language for the body. This week is not about creating beautiful movements, although you may experience beauty as you allow your body to move from this place of honesty. This week is all about surrendering to movement as one of the ways the body processes and shares information.
SOUND is a natural method of self healing, though it is a tool that is rarely considered in many self care practices. During this week you will discover how the sound within your body includes vibration, tone, song, emotion, and stillness. You will learn that having a more developed relationship with these elements of sound greatly contributes to your sense of self. Similar to movement, your body is sounding at all times. It is when sound is restricted that then leads to blockages in your relationship with your body. Through allowing your sound to be expressed fully, your body learns that it is safe to exist in its most natural states.
ALIGN is reinforcement of the value of self discovery. The journey of self care is always going to be unique to you. I will be with you as a guide, and I will hold a container of safety for you to allow yourself to unravel inside of—but your alignment with yourself is always something you will find in your own way. This week is the time to let your body lead you even more. It is my deepest intention and desire that these four weeks provide the space, information, expertise, tools, care, and support, for you to fully fall in love with the language of your body.

None at all. All you need in order to participate in this course is a genuine desire, curiosity and willingness to explore your own body.
